How does the AI work?

Sulis writes its readiness scores and daily reads from your own data. The plain-language part is generated by AI in one of two ways. By default it can use Apple Intelligence, which runs on-device — your health context never leaves your iPhone. Alternatively, you can add your own Claude (Anthropic) API key in Settings, in which case the context needed for an insight is sent directly from your device to Anthropic to generate it. Either way, nothing routes through servers of ours.

Do I need a Claude API key?

No. Sulis works without one — Apple Intelligence handles insight on-device on supported hardware. A Claude key is an optional upgrade if you want Claude-quality narration or you're on a device without Apple Intelligence. If you add one, you pay Anthropic directly for your usage; Sulis never bills you and adds no markup. Your key is stored securely in your device's Keychain.

How is my data handled?

Your data stays on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud. Sulis runs no servers that collect your personal health data, includes no analytics or tracking SDKs, and never sells or shares your health data. No account is required to use the app. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I connect Apple Health?

During onboarding (or later, from the Connections screen in Settings) Sulis will ask permission to read Health data. Tap to allow the categories you're comfortable sharing — things like HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, steps, VO₂, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature. You can change exactly what Sulis can read anytime in the iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. You can also connect Apple Fitness, Oura, and WHOOP from the same Connections screen.

How do I import bloodwork?

Open the Bloodwork section and add your lab report (for example, a PDF from your provider). Sulis reads the markers, tidies up the marker names, and starts tracking each value's trend over time. Your imported files are stored encrypted in your private iCloud and stay under your control — we never receive a copy.

How do I export or delete my data?

You're always in control. You can export your data from within the app, and you can delete it from within the app as well. Deleting Sulis from your device removes its on-device data; to also clear its iCloud copy, remove Sulis data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. You can revoke Health and connected-service access at any time in iOS Settings.

Which devices does Sulis support?

Sulis runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later, works on iPad, and includes a companion Apple Watch app for readiness at a glance.
